Grand Opening of Spanish Masters of the XX Century: Picasso | Miró | Dalí

HOUSTON, TX [February 11, 2020] Art of the World Gallery – Houston’s leading gallery of modern, post-war and contemporary art – presented on Wednesday, February 5th , for the very first time in the Americas, the unique art exhibit showcasing the complete graphic series by three of the greatest Spanish Masters of the Twentieth Century: Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Salvador Dalí.

The outstanding exhibition Spanish Masters of the XX CenturyPicasso | Miró | Dalí is comprised of a wide variety of printmaking techniques from etching to pochoir, offering to the gallery’s exclusive local and international audience the possibility of acquiring a complete-chronological set of one of these illustrious modernist masters. Furthermore, for the most demanding collector, select drawings on paper are also available.

During the Grand Opening, celebrated in the distinguished Houston’s neighborhood River Oaks, invitees and friends who attended the event were part of the remarkable debut. The guests experienced a museum quality show with a first look at stunning and rare artworks of these iconic and influential artists. It is worth mentioning that the complete series have only been seen by a few lucky eyes in Europe, as presented for example, last year at the Art Nouveau & Art Deco Museum - Casa Lis in Salamanca, Spain. The cocktail reception hosted at our two-story-venue allowed spectators to take a voyage through the iconography of these pioneers of avant-garde movements like Cubism, Abstract-Expressionism and Surrealism. The evening was accompanied by soft and romantic Spanish guitar music and refined canapes by Ginn’s Gourmet. The catering provided great menu options like braised Short-rib Tart with Malbec Demiglace & Chimichurri, Crispy Chicken Cordon Bleu Arancini with Dijon Honey Mustard, Smoked Salmon Avocado Potato Toast, as well as Veggie Tarts and a delicate dessert of brownies topped with Nutella. Pairing the exquisite hors d'oeuvres, was classic French champagne, exquisite white and velvety red wine. Similarly, to keep warm on the wintered occasion, a sophisticated and smooth single malt scotch whisky tasting was offered with the distinctive character of The Macallan 12 Years Old Triple Cask Matured and The Macallan 15 Years Old Fine Oak Scotch Single Malt Whisky.

The unparalleled event in Houston started at the main floor with Spanish Masters of the XX CenturyPicasso | Miró | Dalí including 107 graphic pieces created by these revolutionary artists in the peak of their careers. The show was followed by a finely curated second floor embracing a vast masterpiece collection of worldwide renowned artists. Various prominent private collectors, well-known architects, interior designers, and art aficionados, voiced their thoughts of this exhibition as a truly unmissable occasion to appreciate and acquire works of such important artists; commenting, This exhibition exceeds any Texas art gallery expectations.” The gallery team is delighted to invite everyone to visit the spectacular exhibit.
